Key Account Manager (m/f/d) Semiconductor

Your mission

  • Strategic Market Development: Development and implementation of strategic sales and account strategies to identify, unlock and expand new business opportunities in the European semiconductor market, including full responsibility for revenue, order‑intake and cash‑flow targets. Analysis of semiconductor technology trends and derivation of corresponding growth opportunities and priorities.
  • Key Account Management: Comprehensive support and ongoing development of key semiconductor OEM accounts, particularly one of our most important strategic partners. You act as the primary point of contact for all strategic, commercial and technical matters, coordinate complex decision‑making processes, align operational workflows between both organisations, establish framework agreements and build long‑term, multi‑level relationships across Engineering, Procurement, R&D, Project Management and Management/C‑level stakeholders. You also identify cross‑selling and upselling potentials as well as new application fields within ongoing customer projects.
  • Technical Consulting: Development of customer‑specific technical and commercial solutions based on a deep understanding of semiconductor equipment environments, customer workflows and technological roadmaps. Regular on‑site visits to identify new opportunities, validate technical requirements and ensure close customer support. Collection and structured transfer of technical and functional customer insights to drive product improvements.
  • Marketing & Communication: Preparation and presentation of account plans, revenue forecasts and opportunity pipelines. Ensuring consistent, high‑quality communication throughout the entire sales cycle – from inquiry and quotation to negotiation and after‑sales support. Close collaboration with internal departments such as Engineering, Management, Marketing, Order Processing and other key functions to ensure optimal customer support.
  • Networking & Industry Presence: Representation of the company during customer visits, international trade fairs, specialist conferences and industry events. Monitoring and evaluation of market and competitor activities within the assigned accounts to proactively derive strategic measures.

Your profile

  • Technical Background: Successfully completed master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Photonics or a comparable technical discipline.
  • Sales Experience: Initial experience in technical sales is an advantage – particularly in the fields mentioned. If you do not yet have sales experience, we support you through a structured and comprehensive onboarding and training programms.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to clearly convey complex technical topics, complemented by confident presentation and moderation skills.
  • Project Management Strength: High endurance, strong organisational skills and a structured working style when managing sales projects with longer decision cycles.
  • Mobility: Class B driving license and willingness to travel regularly for customer visits and industry events.
  • Negotiation Skills: Confident and persuasive appearance at all hierarchical levels, including international environments. Very good German and English language skills complete your profile.
