- You are responsible for sales and market development of camera and image intensifier solutions within your assigned sales territory (North Rhine‑Westphalia, Lower Saxony, Schleswig‑Holstein, Hamburg, Bremen).
- You build and further develop long‑term relationships with end customers, particularly in high‑end research fields such as microscopy, astronomy and quantum technologies, working closely with Key Opinion Leaders.
- You manage defined key accounts and establish a strong and sustainable network of customers, OEM/VAR partners and other business partners.
- You identify new applications, markets and customers and actively drive business development for both existing and new product groups.
Together with the Group Leader and the Marketing Team, you develop and implement sales and market entry strategies. - You prepare quotations, coordinate order processing and independently conduct contract negotiations.
- You present our products at customer sites, including on‑site technical installation of hardware and software.
- You are responsible for pricing within the defined framework and regularly report on sales performance as well as market and customer developments.
- You represent Hamamatsu during customer visits, trade fairs, events and scientific conferences.

Your profile
- You hold a completed university degree in Physics, Medical Engineering, Biology with a focus on microscopy, or a comparable technical discipline.
- Ideally, you have initial experience in technical sales or in an application‑oriented environment involving technically complex products (optical detectors, e.g. sCMOS). Alternatively, you stand out through strong technical understanding and a high level of customer orientation.
- You communicate confidently and professionally with scientific and technical stakeholders as well as with purchasing departments and act with strong negotiation skills.
- You work analytically, in a structured and self‑reliant manner, are open to change, and value collaboration within a team.
- You are proficient in using MS Office; experience with CRM systems is an advantage.
- You have very strong German and English language skills, both written and spoken, at a minimum C1 level.
- You demonstrate a high willingness to travel, primarily within your assigned sales territory.
